Learning outside the classroom

School: Turton High School, Bolton

Objectives: An adventure day in school to reward the winning group of an English project competition.

Package: An action packed day, ready for a 9:15 start and designed around the usual school breaks and 3pm home time. This has become an annual event, with us attending for the last five years. Catering for 24 Year 7 pupils, we provide archery, orienteering and team building challenges. The day ends with an archery competition to include the whole group. In addition to the main focus on a fun reward for the group, we provide many opportunities to improve communication, cooperation and team work.

Success: Primarily a day focused on fun and enjoyment, success is measured by the positive attitudes of all involved. Feedback on the day from teachers and pupils allows us to confidently rate this event as successful, and this is confirmed with great video and written testimonials.

"Engaging and well-organised, the day was superb and ran smoothly. A professional and prompt from booking to the event itself. The students and teaching staff were very complementary about the whole day. A great experience. We've already booked for next year!" - Laura Aspen, Turton High School
